Our Happy Little Boy

(Click on the photo to enlarge it so that you can see what it says. )

Brendan is a really laid-back happy little guy. He gets a little upset when you put a bowl of food in front of him and then walk away to get a spoon. He doesn't understand yet that the food will always end up in his belly.

He's very happy to sit and play. He also is very happy when we put him on his hands and knees so that he can rock back and forth. He loves to pull on anything that he can reach. Lookout if you have glasses!

He's usually entertained by Julia and the funny faces that she likes to make for him and he especially loves it when she sings to him. Very sweet and very cute.

First Fishing Foray

After a rainy day on Saturday we got out Sunday to enjoy some fresh air and commune with (catch) nature.

We Caught One!

Ok, well, Andy caught one.

Our Easter Bunnies

I couldn't resist! They're definitely not going to be up for this stuff when they're older. Too cute!

Looking for the Snapping Turtle

Last night after work we took a walk down to the Women's Garden in our neighborhood. It's a well-kept garden next to the lake that has all sorts of different plants with little cards next to each naming the plant in both english and latin.

Very nice and very fun to run around if you're a kid because there are bridges to cross and a waterfall. Last night we saw a large snapping turtle that would lift it's head from the water from time to time to take a look at us. They are dredging our lake so we assume that the turtle wandered from the lake to the pond at the garden.

Tonight Uncle Mike, Auntie Danette and cousins, Colin and Marcus came for dinner and a walk to the garden and pond. We didn't see the turtle but we had a great time running around.

Fun at the Garden

After all that Running Around

It's time to get clean! What's more fun than that?

Will Update With More Photos Soon

I've been pretty bad lately about taking photos. I'm sure we'll take a bunch this weekend. Julia's still as verbal as ever. She says "I need" at the beginning of every sentence and also has begun the "why?" phase that I always wondered how I'd handle. Almost everything I say is followed by a "why?" from her. It's ok though, she's just interested in everything.

Brendan is all about being able to move. He loves to roll around on the floor and seems like he's ready mentally to be even more mobile. He loves to bathe with Julia. They both do their best to splash as much as possible and laugh and laugh while doing it. Too cute! I wanted to take a photo of them in the tub last night but my inner voice was telling me not to run and get the camera...something about how your baby can drown in less than an inch of water. Even though he was safely in his seat I just couldn't leave to get the camera. It's ok, plenty of other baths will provide other good photo ops.

Have a very Happy Easter everyone!

Another Sleeping Photo

He was *out* in this photo. I took several shots and he never stirred.
