So Many Things

So many things have happened within the last month. Julia turned 5! We finished the year at her daycare before she heads off to kindergarten tomorrow. And finally, today my B turns 3. The B is three!!!

He's so excited to be three. We pulled out the toddler bed for him this morning and I'll paint his room this weekend and decorate it for him. Up to this point it had been green and blue with farm animals, quite the nursery.

Things are happening so fast that it really has taken me by surprise. I knew that this was all coming but it's still hard to believe that we're here and starting the elementary school years with one child and the other is daily evolving into his own dynamic little wild thing and big boy self.

We just spent a week at "the seaside" with Grammy and Grandad. It was really wonderful and none of us wanted to come home. We had a great time swimming, making sand castles, catching crabs at night, roasting marshmallows, body surfing, and Julia and Brendan loved swimming in the ocean on their own for the first time and putting their heads under water. It was just nice to be all together.

This is what tired children look like after playing in the surf. One stays in the bed, the other somehow ended up halfway underneath, yet still totally out.
